Made In Film-Land teamed up with DKC Communications, a NYC based PR firm to promote KoolAid’s latest efforts to build a playground for every child in America. Kool Aid has been building playgrounds for the last year all over the United States in an effort to curb child obesity. We edited and animated a short branding video for Kool Aid featuring various appearances of the “Kool Aid Man” and Rev Run of Run-D.M.C . The video turned out to be a lot of fun for us too, bringing back memories of childhood games and Kool-Aid summers…
Film-Land always combines pleasure and work – even on the weekends!
Watch this 1 minute video we created for DJ Michael Arana, who celebrated his birthday by spinning in New York’s most sought out dance club, Cielo –a state of the art dance club in the heart of the Meat-Packing district with outstanding lighting design and one of the best sound system in the city.
Of course, once we put away the camera, we ended up on the dance floor.
The Brooklyn Paper supports Brooklyn filmmakers. And rightly so since 4 of the finalists in the national Netflix competition (www.netflixfindyourvoice.com) are from Brooklyn!
What is more, Eric Lin, Maryam Keshavarz and Sasie Sealy are all former New York University graduates, just like us. Small world of filmmaking.
Public voting for the competition will end July 5th.
Support good people who make good movie, for good movies make better people.
4. Do not give any other movie any stars. Although we do know and appreciate very much some other directors in the competition, we have to be fierce – Netflix will tally the total number of stars.
Two-time Tribeca Winner Director Sasie Sealy is currently a finalist in the Netflix competition “Find Your Voice”, with her first feature film project: SarahN_12.
This feature film contest gathered close to 2000 feature film scripts to retain only 10 semi-finalists, and will offer $150.000 cash prize, as well as a significant post-production support.
Aside from a wonderful director, Sasie is also a friend, and we were more than happy to produce her competition trailer for “Sarah_N12″.
Shot in various locations of Williamsburg, NY, by cinematographer Brian Rigney Hubbard, you will be able to see it on June 5th on the Netflix website.
And of course you should vote for it then!
